Redirect Check
Don′t you have many opportunities to check the redirect at the web service development site?
Are you redirecting properly?
Is it redirected to 302 instead of status code 301?
Where is the redirect source?Which route is accessible?
Redirects are switched in an instant, so you can′t keep up with them just by looking at the HTML source code, and it′s troublesome to check them by typing commands.
So this time, I′m going to show you a convenient way to make such a difficult redirect.
verification tool for redirect checking
The ′Redirect Path′ in the Chrome extension is useful to track the redirect destination URL and the status code (301/302) for redirecting.
You can install it from the following link in Google Chrome′s browser:
RedirectPath
Install on Chrome from the install button in the upper right corner.′Once completed successfully, the button will be ′′Added to Chrome′′.′
When RedirectPath is installed, it is added to the right-hand menu of the Chrome tab.
(This is an arrow icon similar to this image.)
If you click on the icon while accessing the site, you will see the URL and status code.
Redirect Page
Let′s take a look at the redirect page. This time, I visited the page that I redirected to 302.
This shows that the 302 redirect followed by a page that returns the status code 200.
summary
RedirectPath thus displays the contents of the 302/301 redirect. You can always see the details of the redirect in Chrome, so if you have the opportunity to verify the redirect, it′s convenient to install it. (If you′re dealing with SEO, you′ll need it especially.)
Also, RedirectPath is of course very convenient for multiple redirects.
